Overview

The AP98892F is a 2-foot (61 cm) power cord rated at 16A / 208–230V, terminated with an IEC 320 C19 connector on one end and an IEC 320 C20R connector on the other. At this length, it is purpose-built for short rack-internal runs — connecting a PDU outlet to a high-draw device mounted directly above or below in the same cabinet without the cable slack that longer cords create. The C19-to-C20R pairing targets 16A-rated equipment where locking or recessed (R) receptacles are required for secure engagement in vibration-prone or high-density environments. UL-listed and finished in black.

Compatibility

The C19 plug end is compatible with IEC 320 C20 inlets found on APC Smart-UPS, Symmetra, and Rack PDU products rated for 16A 208–230V circuits. The C20R receptacle end accepts C19 plugs from downstream devices including high-density servers, network equipment, and storage arrays with C19 power inlets — such as those commonly found in HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, and Lenovo ThinkSystem rack servers, as well as APC rack-mount UPS units with C19 output receptacles. Verify your specific device's inlet rating and voltage range before installation; this cord is not rated for 120V North American circuits.

Installation Notes

At 61 cm (2 ft), route this cord only between equipment in adjacent rack units — do not stretch across multiple Us, as tension on C19/C20 connections can cause intermittent contact. The 16A rating requires a branch circuit and PDU outlet rated at 16A or higher; pairing with a 10A or 13A outlet voids the UL listing for that assembly. Confirm the C20R receptacle orientation matches your PDU's outlet face before ordering — the recessed shroud geometry varies by manufacturer.
