Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP8714SX592 Locking Power Cord

Overview

The APC by Schneider Electric AP8714SX592 is a 1.2-meter locking power cord kit designed to secure connections between rack-mounted IT equipment and PDUs or UPS systems. Its blue color aids in visual identification within dense server racks, preventing accidental disconnections in critical infrastructure deployments. This cord ensures a reliable power pathway for network switches, servers, and other essential hardware.

Compatibility

This cord features a C19 coupler (female) and a C20 connector (male). It is designed for use with equipment that has a C20 inlet and PDUs or UPS units with C19 outlets. It is compatible with APC's line of Switched Rack PDUs and certain UPS models that utilize these connector types. Ensure your equipment and power distribution units have matching C19 and C20 ports for a secure fit.

Installation Notes

The locking mechanism on both the C19 and C20 connectors prevents the cord from being accidentally pulled out of the equipment or the PDU. To install, simply plug the C20 end into the equipment's power inlet and the C19 end into the PDU or UPS outlet. The locking feature engages automatically. To disconnect, depress the locking tab on the connector while pulling it free.
