Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP8706S-NAX457 Locking Power Cord

Overview

The APC by Schneider Electric AP8706S-NAX457 is a pack of six 1.8-meter power cords designed to provide a secure, reliable connection between IT equipment and PDUs or UPS systems. Featuring IEC C15 (female) to IEC C14 (male) connectors, these cords prevent accidental disconnection in environments with vibration or frequent handling, such as server racks or industrial automation setups. The yellow and black color coding aids in quick identification and management within complex power distribution systems.

Compatibility

This power cord is engineered for use with equipment requiring an IEC C15 connector and a standard IEC C14 inlet. It is suitable for connecting devices such as high-power servers, network switches, or other rack-mounted IT gear to APC Smart-UPS, Symmetra, Matrix UPS, and various Rack PDUs. The locking mechanism ensures compatibility with APC PDUs and UPS units that support locking inlets, preventing power loss during critical operations.

Installation Notes

The cable operates reliably within a wide temperature range of 0°C to 105°C (32°F to 221°F), with a storage temperature range of -25°C to 105°C (-13°F to 221°F). The straight IEC C14 connector and straight IEC C15 connector ensure straightforward plug-in installation. Each cord is 1.8 meters (approximately 6 feet) in length, providing sufficient reach for standard rack configurations without excessive cable slack.
