Description

NETGEAR PAV12V-100NAS 12V Power Adapter

Overview

The PAV12V-100NAS is a 12V DC power adapter designed as a direct replacement or spare supply for NETGEAR WAC720-100NAS and WAC730-100NAS enterprise-class wireless access points. This accessory solves the common integration challenge of maintaining redundant or replacement power supplies in multi-site deployments where access point uptime directly impacts network availability across warehouses, manufacturing floors, or distributed retail environments.

Compatibility

This adapter is compatible exclusively with the NETGEAR WAC720-100NAS and WAC730-100NAS access point models. Verify your access point model number before ordering — incompatible adapters will not function and may damage connected equipment. If deploying a broader network switch or PoE infrastructure, confirm whether these access points draw power via PoE or require external DC supply; this adapter supplies external 12V DC only.

Power Specification

The adapter delivers 12V DC output at a consumption rating between 9W and 16.1W depending on access point load and operational mode. This power envelope supports standard throughput and wireless transmission for both WAC720 and WAC730 series hardware. Keep a spare on hand in environments where access point downtime triggers cascading failures — the 5-year warranty period covers defects in manufacture.

Installation Notes

Confirm DC connector polarity and voltage before connecting to your access point. Do not force connections. Store spares in climate-controlled areas to preserve long-term reliability, particularly in humid warehouse or outdoor deployment scenarios. Replace the adapter if physical damage to the cable or connector is visible.
