Overview
The CyberPower PDU24002 is a metered Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Power Distribution Unit designed to provide redundant power to critical IT equipment. It addresses the need for uninterrupted operation by automatically switching between two independent power sources if the primary source fails or deviates from set thresholds. This unit is ideal for server racks in data centers, network closets, or any environment where downtime due to power interruption is unacceptable. The PDU24002 features dual NEMA L5-20P input connectors and provides 10 NEMA 5-20R outlets for downstream devices.
Compatibility
This PDU is designed for use with standard 100-120 VAC power systems. It is compatible with any single-corded IT equipment that draws up to 16A (20A maximum, derated) and requires redundant power feeds. The included adapters convert the L5-20P input plugs to NEMA 5-20P, allowing connection to standard 20A outlets. It supports connection to two separate power circuits (e.g., two different UPS units or two different building circuits) to ensure continuous operation.
Installation Notes
The unit requires a standard 1U rack space for mounting. It features cord retention brackets to secure power cords and prevent accidental disconnection. The operating temperature range is 32-113 °F (0-45 °C), suitable for most climate-controlled IT environments. Network connectivity via RJ45 allows for remote monitoring and management of power status and thresholds.
