Overview
The Panduit Opticom™ FC2XO-12-10U is an OM3 fiber cassette designed for high-density fiber management. It terminates a 12-fiber MPO connector to six duplex LC connectors, simplifying fiber transitions in structured cabling systems. This cassette utilizes universal polarity, meaning it can be used in either TIA Type A, B, or C polarity configurations without modification, reducing complexity and potential for error during installation. Its optimized insertion loss ensures signal integrity for demanding network applications.
Compatibility
This cassette is designed for use within Panduit's Opticom™ fiber panel and enclosure systems. It is compatible with standard OM3 laser-optimized multimode fiber infrastructure. The MPO-12 male connector and LC duplex aqua adapters ensure broad compatibility with common fiber optic transceivers and patch cords used in enterprise and data center environments. It is intended for use with 50-micron fiber diameter.
Installation Notes
The cassette features a black housing with a black MPO connector and aqua LC adapters for clear identification. Installation involves sliding the cassette into a compatible Panduit fiber enclosure or panel. The MPO connector is keyed for correct orientation. Ensure the MPO connector is clean before mating to prevent performance degradation. The zirconia ceramic material used in the LC adapters offers durability and precise alignment.
