Overview
The RC150-C8 is a 2U rackmount power supply designed to centralize power distribution for networked security systems in server rooms and network closets. It delivers either 12VDC at 12 amps or 24VDC at 6 amps (selectable output), making it suitable for powering multiple IP cameras, access control readers, sensors, and auxiliary security devices from a single point. The integral RC8 control board provides supervised outputs with configurable fault and battery alarm notification—essential for detecting power distribution failures before they impact your security posture.
Power Configuration
The RC150-C8 operates on standard AC mains input (110–240V) and delivers 150W total capacity across its output channels. The dual voltage option (12V or 24V) allows you to match your existing camera and sensor infrastructure without requiring separate power chains. Supervised outputs enable real-time monitoring of load health; if a circuit or connected device fails, the control board logs the fault and can trigger an alarm to your central station or monitoring system. This supervision is critical in unmanned facilities where power faults could otherwise go undetected for hours.
Rack Integration
The 2U form factor fits standard 19-inch equipment racks alongside your network switches and PoE switches, consolidating power and control infrastructure into a single physical footprint. Battery backup connections on the RC8 board allow you to configure uninterruptible operation for critical endpoints—a necessity for perimeter gates, emergency exits, and redundant recording systems. The rear-board design and labeled terminal strips simplify field wiring and future maintenance.
