Description

Lifesafety Power RC150/150-C16 Rackmount 150W Power Supply

Overview

The RC150/150-C16 is a 2U rackmount power supply designed to feed distributed 12V and 24V loads across surveillance, access control, and intercom infrastructure. It delivers 150W total capacity—12A at 12V or dual 6A channels at 24V—making it suitable for mid-scale camera arrays, control panels, and door-strike systems that require centralized, redundant power. This form factor mounts directly into standard 19-inch racks, keeping cable runs organized and UPS integration straightforward.

Compatibility

The RC150/150-C16 pairs with Lifesafety Power battery backup modules (RC8 board configuration supports dual output management) and integrates with control enclosures requiring 12V or 24V DC distribution. The dual RC8 board slots allow stacked fault/FAI (fire alarm interface) and battery connection management, making it suitable for systems that demand redundancy or failover capability. Check your system's voltage and amperage draw before selection—12A at 12V is the typical choice for camera-heavy deployments; 24V dual 6A is better for mixed loads or when longer runs demand lower current drop.

Installation Notes

Mounts as a 2U rear board module into standard 19-inch rack enclosures. The rear-board design positions fault/FAI/battery connections and control boards (RD Faults, RC8 modules) toward the back, keeping front panel space clear. Verify your rack has adequate ventilation and that total amperage from all powered devices does not exceed 12A at 12V or 6A at each 24V channel. Pair with appropriate UPS or battery backup modules to ensure continuous power during mains loss—the RC150 is the supply chassis, not a battery-backed unit itself.
