Lifesafety Power FPO150-C8D8E2 Regulated Power Supply Cabinet
Overview
The FPO150-C8D8E2 is a 150W regulated power supply enclosure designed to distribute power to distributed access control and security subsystems. It delivers either 12VDC at 12A or 24VDC at 6A—the choice determines how you configure downstream lock and auxiliary loads. This voltage flexibility lets you match existing infrastructure without rewiring. The cabinet houses 8 dedicated lock outputs and 8 independently fused auxiliary outputs (each rated 3A) for door strikes, mag locks, sensors, and control modules in multi-door or multi-zone deployments.
Compatibility & Integration
The FPO150-C8D8E2 pairs with access control panels and distributed reader architectures that require supervised, fused power distribution at the cabinet level. The 12V/12A and 24V/6A options align with typical mag-lock power budgets (3.5–5A per lock at 12V, proportionally less at 24V). All 8 auxiliary outputs run 3A maximum per circuit, enabling parallel sensor or signaling loads without cramming everything into a single output. This is critical if you're supporting multiple card readers, door position sensors, request-to-exit buttons, and relay outputs from an access control panel on the same supply.
Installation Notes
Mount the FPO150-C8D8E2 in an access control cabinet or equipment room where 120VAC mains power is available. Each of the 8 auxiliary outputs is individually fused—if one load fails short, only that circuit drops. This isolation prevents cascading faults that could lock down multiple doors on a single supply line. Verify total connected load (amp-hours per output) against the 3A per-circuit limit before provisioning locks and sensors. Choose 12V or 24V configuration during commissioning based on your installed hardware; the supply cannot run both rails simultaneously.
