The Lifesafety Power FPO150/250-2C82D8E8S-VZ02 is a dual-output power supply configured to deliver either 150W (12A at 12VDC or 6A at 24VDC) or 250W (20A at 12VDC or 10A at 24VDC), depending on system demand. The unit integrates 16 independently fused relay lock control outputs and 16 DC auxiliary outputs, enabling direct control of electronic locks, door strikes, and ancillary security devices without external relay modules. Each output is fused at 3A, isolating individual circuits and preventing cascading failures when a single lock or device draws excessive current. The E8 enclosure (36H × 30W × 6.5D inches) mounts on standard Software House back plates, fitting into existing access control infrastructure.
The FPO150/250-2C82D8E8S-VZ02 integrates with Lifesafety Power control panels and Software House-based access control systems. The 16 relay outputs are selectable for FAI (Form A Isolated), failsafe, and failsecure operation per circuit — critical for facilities where some doors must default to locked (failsecure) and others to unlocked (failsafe) in a power loss event. The 16 DC auxiliary outputs route to Bus 1 or Bus 2, distributing power to readers, badge terminals, and IP cameras powered from the same infrastructure. Confirm compatibility with your specific control panel firmware version and relay card topology before deployment.
Mount the unit in a controlled-temperature enclosure; verify incoming AC supply voltage and frequency match unit ratings before wiring. Each relay output supports up to 3A continuous at 24VDC; electronic locks drawing more than 3A per output require external relay modules or load distribution across multiple outputs. When powering PoE switches or powered endpoints from the 12VDC or 24VDC rails, calculate total auxiliary current (reader power, lock hold current, auxiliary loads) to avoid overloading a single Bus. Fuses are field-replaceable; carry spares matching the 3A rating for each output type.
