Description

Viking Electronics K-1900-712LIPEWP Vandal-Resistant VoIP Panel Phone with 12-Inch Armored Cord

Overview

The K-1900-712LIPEWP is a vandal-resistant, Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) VoIP hot-line panel phone from Viking's K-1900-7-IP series, built for harsh outdoor installations where standard enclosures fail. The 12-inch armored cable — reinforced with an internal stainless steel lanyard — protects the handset connection from deliberate yanking and environmental stress, making it the right choice for parking garages, transit platforms, loading docks, industrial yards, and any site where handset theft or cable damage is a recurring problem. IP66 ingress protection means sustained rain, hose-down cleaning, and dusty environments won't compromise the unit. The EWP variant extends humidity tolerance to 100% condensing, so coastal, car-wash, or cold-storage-adjacent installs that would saturate a standard enclosure are within spec.

Compatibility

The K-1900-712LIPEWP is a standalone VoIP panel phone within Viking's Viking Electronics K-1900-7-IP series. It is telephone-line powered (20V DC / 18mA minimum), eliminating the need for a separate power supply — useful on sites where running AC to a remote entry point is impractical. It supports Touch Tone dialing (Normal: 120ms on/off; Fast: 50ms on/off) and Pulse dialing (Normal: 10 pps; Fast: 20 pps), giving it broad compatibility with legacy PBX systems as well as modern VoIP infrastructure. The unit fits the same rough-in box footprint (5.0
