i-PRO NVR-R-2-112TB-V5 Rack-Mount Network Video Recorder

Overview

The NVR-R-2-112TB-V5 is a discontinued enterprise-class 2U rack-mount network video recorder designed for large-scale IP surveillance deployments. This unit solves the multi-stream ingestion and extended archival problem for campuses, healthcare systems, educational institutions, and government agencies operating hundreds of simultaneous video streams. The combination of dual Intel Xeon Silver processors, 64GB RAM, and 112TB native storage capacity delivers the compute and retention density required for sustained recording across distributed camera networks without external storage bottlenecks.

Compatibility

The NVR-R-2-112TB-V5 is ONVIF-compliant and integrates with IP cameras from all major manufacturers — Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Panasonic i-PRO, and others supporting ONVIF Profile S and T protocols. Pre-installed Windows Server 2022 Standard Edition enables native integration with enterprise directory services (Active Directory), SQL databases, and third-party analytics frameworks. Because this model is discontinued, verify your specific camera models and VMS software against i-PRO's current compatibility matrix before procurement — driver and firmware support may be limited for newer camera releases.

Installation Notes

Requires standard 19-inch rack mounting with sufficient depth for the 2U form factor and rear-facing connectivity. Dual Xeon processors and 64GB RAM generate sustained heat output — plan adequate airflow and cooling capacity in your rack environment. Network connectivity demands multi-gigabit switching infrastructure to support concurrent ingest from hundreds of cameras without throughput bottlenecks. Power consumption scales with recording density and analytics load; size UPS and circuit capacity accordingly. Verify spare parts availability and legacy product support channels with i-PRO before deployment, given discontinuation status.
