i-PRO WJ-NX300/4000T4 16-Channel Embedded Network Video Recorder
Overview
The WJ-NX300/4000T4 is a 16-channel embedded network video recorder designed for mid-scale surveillance sites where you need direct NVR recording without a separate VMS server. It ships with 4TB of onboard storage and accepts H.265 and H.264 streams from i-PRO and ONVIF-compliant network cameras. H.265 compression reduces storage overhead 40–60% compared to H.264, extending retention or enabling higher frame rates on the same disk footprint. Important: This model is discontinued. Current deployments should evaluate successor models WJ-NX310K, WJ-NX310KG, WJ-NX410K, or WJ-NX410KG for new installations or replacements.
Compatibility
The WJ-NX300/4000T4 supports any ONVIF NVT-conformant network camera or encoder, including the full i-PRO (formerly Panasonic) network camera lineup. It does not require proprietary software—ONVIF compliance ensures interoperability with third-party IP cameras from other manufacturers. The recorder handles up to 60 fps per camera depending on resolution and bandwidth. Expandable to 32 cameras using two optional WJ-NXE30 camera kits. Supports scheduled, event-triggered, and continuous recording modes with 15-second pre-alarm capability. Audio output is line-level (−10 dBv, 600 Ω unbalanced RCA)—suitable for local or remote monitoring feeds, not microphone input.
Installation Notes
Rack-mount form factor: 420 mm W × 88 mm H × 370 mm D (depth measured from rack bracket at 350 mm). Requires standard Gigabit Ethernet for camera streams and management. Includes PTZ camera control (pan, tilt, zoom, focus, brightness) and supports up to 256 preset positions per camera. Multiple display modes (1, 4, 9, 16, 24, or 32 split screens on main and sub-monitor) support concurrent operator views and alarm-triggered layouts.
