ATEN VE2812AUST HDBaseT Transmitter Wall Plate
Overview
The ATEN VE2812AUST is a wall-plate transmitter designed for extending HDMI and VGA/Audio signals over HDBaseT. It's engineered for clean, in-wall installations, ideal for conference rooms, classrooms, or auditoriums where source devices need to be located away from displays. The VE2812AUST model supports Power over HDBaseT (POH), allowing compatible receivers to power the transmitter, simplifying wiring and installation.
Compatibility
This transmitter is designed to work with ATEN HDBaseT receivers and other HDBaseT-compliant devices. It supports HDMI Type A input and a mini stereo jack for audio. The VGA input uses an HDB-15 connector. Ensure your ATEN receiver or connected HDBaseT device supports POH for single-cable power delivery. It is compatible with ATEN's line of HDBaseT extenders that accept POH input.
Installation Notes
The unit requires a standard wall-box for mounting. Signal extension distances are limited by the HDBaseT standard and the specific cable used: HDMI signals are supported up to 3 meters, while VGA/Audio signals extend up to 10 meters. The unit can be powered via a terminal block or RJ-45 POH connection. Firmware upgrades are managed via a slide switch.
