i-PRO PGYE1069ZAD1 HDD Case
The PGYE1069ZAD1 is a factory HDD case used in compatible i-PRO recording appliances to house and protect the recording drive. The case provides vibration isolation, thermal management, and the mechanical mount required for hot-swap or fixed-position drive installation in the host appliance. Using the OEM case ensures the drive operates within the design parameters for predictable lifespan.
Key Features
- OEM HDD case for i-PRO recording appliances
- Vibration-isolation mounts protect the drive in continuous-write service

Hard drive carriers are a frequently-overlooked failure point in NVR appliances. Vibration isolation matters because a single drive in a multi-drive array can create rotational vibration that affects every other drive in the chassis — the so-called RV problem. Surveillance drives are engineered to tolerate this, but only when the carrier provides the isolation it was designed around. A degraded or substituted carrier can cause cascading drive failures across the array.
Replace the carrier with the OEM part rather than a generic. After re-installation verify the drive is identified correctly by the appliance, the SMART data is clean, and the RAID array recognizes the drive. For hot-swap configurations, follow the appliance service guide for the correct procedure to take the drive offline, swap, and bring back online. Confirm RAID rebuild progresses normally before considering the service complete.
