Deployment Considerations:

• The 10/100BASE-T Ethernet port maxes at 100Mbps. At full 8MP 4K 30fps H.265, bitrate is typically 12–20Mbps, well within the 100Mbps cap. • IR range is 200m, which is excellent for perimeter surveillance but assumes minimal ambient light and clear line-of-sight. On dusty or foggy sites, effective range drops to 80–120m. The water-removal feature (spinning dry) helps on rainy days, but condensation buildup on the dome will degrade IR performance temporarily — plan for periodic manual cleaning or heated dome covers on extremely humid sites.
• The preset accuracy (±0.1°) is reliable for automated tour sequences, but on very tall poles (>25m) in high wind, the gyro can introduce micro-oscillations that appear as slight panning in the video. This doesn't affect autofocus or detection but may be noticeable in forensic playback. Hanwha firmware updates have reduced this; confirm you're running the latest revision before deployment.
• Object auto-tracking (person/vehicle) runs on the camera itself and works well outdoors in good contrast. Indoors or in very low light, the detection confidence drops, and the camera may switch targets unexpectedly. Configure tracking rules conservatively and use zone-based motion detection as a fallback trigger.
• Edge storage (microSD dual slots, up to 1TB each) is a failover tool, not a primary recorder. At 8MP 4K 30fps H.265, one 1TB card holds roughly 40–50 days of motion-triggered clips. If you need longer retention, push all events to the NVR or FTP server.
