Geovision 84-LPC2011-0010 2MP IR Low-Lux IP Camera
Overview
The Geovision 84-LPC2011-0010 is a 2MP color progressive-scan IP camera with integrated infrared illumination, purpose-built for vehicle license-plate recognition at speeds up to 60 km/h (37 mph) and continuous low-light surveillance. The model delivers consistent imagery across extreme temperature swings (-30°C to 50°C / -22°F to 122°F), making it suitable for unheated perimeter sites, parking structures, and remote toll booths where seasonal temperature variation is the norm. IP67 weatherproofing eliminates concerns about rain, dust, or temporary water immersion — a real requirement for pole-mounted and corner-mounted outdoor deployments. PoE (802.3af) power simplifies installation by eliminating separate electrical feeds to the camera location, reducing labor and conduit runs. The 1/2.8" super low-lux CMOS sensor handles near-darkness conditions without bleeding into the IR-only spectrum, preserving daytime color fidelity for plate identification.
Compatibility
The 84-LPC2011-0010 integrates into standard IP surveillance networks via ONVIF-compatible management systems and any PoE-capable switch. It is designed for Geovision's own VMS platforms and third-party systems that support ONVIF Profile S. Network configuration assumes standard Ethernet cabling (CAT5e or CAT6) to an 802.3af PoE source — a single switch port. The camera's IPPTZCam cable designation ensures interoperability with Geovision's ecosystem of network hardware and outdoor-rated junction boxes. No specialized drivers or proprietary middleware are required beyond basic ONVIF stack support.
Installation Notes
Mounting options include pole brackets (GV-Mount400-1 for 4–6" diameter, GV-Mount410-1 for 6–7.5" diameter), convex corner adapter (GV-Mount300-1), and concave corner adapter (GV-Mount310-1). Cable entry is via M12 or RJ-45 connectors; verify your switch and junction-box connector types before ordering. PoE power draw is within 802.3af limits (13W maximum). Verify network switch port power budget if deploying multiple cameras on a single PSU. Install in locations where direct sunlight does not saturate the sensor during day (use neutral-density filters if necessary for extreme glare). Confirm local cabling conduit can accommodate the camera's nominal dimensions (238.6 × 395.2 × 210 mm) and 4.27 kg weight — pole brackets handle this load without issue on standard 2-inch steel or aluminum poles.
