Description

Geovision 84-DFR1352-0200 Card Reader

Overview

The GV-DFR1352 (model 84-DFR1352-0200) is a card reader designed for door frame installation in access control systems. It recognizes standard access cards, fobs, stickers, and tags, then transmits credential data via Wiegand or RS-485 outputs to any compatible access control panel. IP66-rated weather-sealed housing makes it suitable for outdoor deployments — rain and dust won't compromise the door-mounted reader or affect card detection performance.

Compatibility

The GV-DFR1352 integrates with any standard access control panel that accepts Wiegand or RS-485 inputs. Geovision offers compatible access cards, fobs, stickers, and tags across multiple frequency bands — consult the datasheet for frequency-specific compatibility. The reader also pairs with Geovision's GV-FWC face-recognition integration module, which bridges card data to facial recognition cameras via TCP/IP or Wiegand, enabling dual-factor (card + face) access control workflows. Weather covers (GV-Reader Weather Cover) are available for additional environmental protection if needed.

Installation Notes

IP66 rating ensures protection against direct water spray and dust ingress — suitable for covered outdoor entries, loading docks, and sheltered exterior walls. For fully submersed or high-pressure washdown environments, verify with the datasheet. Wiegand and RS-485 outputs require standard twisted-pair cabling to the control panel; confirm cable run distance and shielding requirements with your panel's wiring spec. Mounting is frame-based — confirm door frame dimensions before order to avoid fitment delays.
