GRI 410P-W 4" Commercial Surface Mount Door Contact
Overview
The GRI 410P-W is a 4-inch surface mount magnetic contact designed for door position monitoring in commercial and industrial access control installations. The 410P variant ships with 36 inches of 2-conductor vinyl jacketed cable pre-attached, eliminating field termination and reducing installation time on retrofit or multi-door projects. Mount directly to door frames or strike assemblies to deliver hardwired open/closed feedback to access control panels, electric strike controllers, or monitoring systems that require real-time door status without network dependency.
Compatibility
Works with any access control system accepting hardwired normally-open or normally-closed (SPDT) dry-contact input. Compatible with GRI electric strike families (400/410/412 series) and standard 12V/24V strike control circuits. The magnetic switch operates independent of voltage — suitable for wired door sensors on commercial access control panels, dedicated strike controllers, and legacy hardwired monitoring setups. Surface mount design fits standard steel and aluminum door frames common in commercial facilities, industrial warehouses, and institutional buildings.
Installation Notes
Standard gap version spans up to 1.5 inches between door and frame. Wide gap variant (410P-WG) accommodates up to 3.25 inches for weathered or warped frames. Mounting brackets and hardware included. Built-in end-of-line (E.O.L.) resistors and diodes available upon request for alarm loop integration. Covers supplied in white (standard); brown and gray available. Made in USA.
