Description

Geovision GV-5016 16-Channel PCI Express Card

Overview

The GV-5016 is a 16-channel PCI Express capture card designed to digitize video feeds directly into a server or workstation for centralized surveillance recording. It accepts LFH (Low-Profile High-Density) input connectors, allowing you to pack 16 channels into a single expansion slot without consuming multiple card positions in your chassis. This is the foundation layer for multi-camera acquisition in security operations centers, retail surveillance networks, and enterprise monitoring deployments where you need simultaneous frame capture across many feeds without introducing network bottlenecks.

Compatibility

The GV-5016 integrates with Geovision recording and management software platforms. It requires a compatible PCI Express slot (standard x16 or x8 mechanical fit) in a server or workstation motherboard and sufficient system bus bandwidth to sustain 16-channel simultaneous capture. Confirm your host system supports the driver and software version shipping with or available for this card. Installation is straightforward if your chassis has available PCI Express slots and your power supply can handle the additional draw.

Installation Notes

The card uses standard PCI Express mechanical insertion — align the gold connector with your available slot and secure the bracket to the chassis rear panel. Ensure adequate airflow around the card; passive cooling is typically sufficient in cabinet environments with standard server ventilation. The LFH connectors on the card require compatible breakout cables or adapter harnesses (not included) to connect to your video sources or intermediate distribution hardware. Verify your system BIOS recognizes the card post-installation before deploying it into production.
