Overview
The Geovision GV-650 is a video capture expansion card designed for multi-camera digital surveillance deployments running Geovision's GV-650 EXPRESS system software (V3.30 or later). This Type 8 card extends recording and channel capacity by integrating into available card slots within the GV-650 chassis, enabling integrators to scale monitoring coverage without replacing the entire system. The card supports camera resolutions from 1MP to 8MP and handles both H.265 and H.264 compression streams, reducing storage overhead on 24/7 recording setups.
Compatibility
The GV-650 is compatible exclusively with Geovision GV-650 EXPRESS systems running V3.30 firmware or later. It also works with backward-compatible variants: GV-650S, GV-650A, and GV-650B. Verify your system version and available card slots before ordering—slot capacity and the number of channels your license supports determine how many cards you can deploy. The card supports ONVIF-compliant camera streams, allowing integration with third-party IP cameras that meet the ONVIF standard.
Installation Notes
