Overview
The VHW-HWPS-CXT is a paired Ethernet-over-coax adaptor that lets you run PoE power and 100Base-TX data over existing 75-ohm BNC coaxial cable runs. Deploy it when retrofitting IP cameras into analog CCTV infrastructure where the coax plant is already in place—no new cable pulls, no conduit work. One unit connects at the camera end (powered by the legacy supply), the other at the control room or switch end. No configuration needed; both units operate transparently, passing full 100 Mbps Ethernet without degradation over distances up to 300 m on RG59 or 500 m on RG11.
Compatibility
The VHW-HWPS-CXT works with any IP camera or network device that accepts standard RJ45 Ethernet. It supports megapixel and multi-sensor cameras. Use in pairs: one adaptor per coax run (camera end to control room end). Compatible with existing analog video cable systems where the coax quality and run length support 100Base-TX performance. The BNC connectors maintain signal integrity on legacy 75-ohm runs; the RJ45 outputs connect to standard network infrastructure (switches, PoE injectors, NVRs).
