Overview

The ACTi E44A is a 2MP fixed bullet camera built for indoor and sheltered outdoor surveillance where you need continuous operation across shifting light conditions without external lighting gear. Day/night capability switches seamlessly between color and monochrome IR modes, eliminating blind spots during darkness. The E44A solves the common problem of scenes where dusk-to-dawn monitoring matters — retail floors, warehouse loading areas, facility corridors, and perimeter entry points where installing separate IR illuminators is impractical or undesirable.

Compatibility

The E44A integrates with any IP surveillance infrastructure supporting standard ONVIF protocols and common VMS platforms. Installation assumes standard PoE network connection and integration with centralized NVR or VMS systems — compatibility is vendor-neutral across Milestone, AXIS Camera Station, and similar management software. Network integration is straightforward; no proprietary software or closed ecosystems required.

Installation Notes

Compact bullet housing (7.8″ × 7.8″ × 7.0″ packaged) mounts directly to wall or soffit via standard bracket — minimal footprint and clean aesthetic integration. The vari-focal lens allows field-of-view adjustment post-installation without lens swap, useful when exact coverage isn't finalized during rough-in. Ensure PoE infrastructure supports the camera's power draw and that mounting surface can handle the unit's 0.25 lb weight. Sheltered outdoor mounting is acceptable, but avoid direct rain and submersion; indoor air-conditioned or climate-controlled spaces are the primary deployment zone.
