Overview

The PNL60-SS is a replacement or spare faceplate for Viking's Viking Electronics E-60 series entry phones. Built from 18-gauge 304 stainless steel at 0.048" thick, it provides the front-facing panel for double gang installations where the original plate has been damaged, where a finish change is required, or where a site is being retrofitted with new hardware into an existing rough-in box. The double gang form factor fits standard two-gang electrical box cutouts, making it a direct swap in commercial vestibules, multitenant entry points, and access-controlled door stations. If your install calls for the stainless finish — corrosion resistance in outdoor lobbies, coastal environments, or high-traffic entry frames — the PNL60-SS is the correct choice. For polished brass, black, white, or brushed nickel finishes, Viking offers corresponding variants in the PNL60 faceplate family.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the Viking E-60 series entry phones, including the E-60-SS (double gang stainless steel analog entry phone) and E-60-SS-IP (double gang VoIP/SIP entry phone). Both models share the same double gang housing and mounting geometry, so the PNL60-SS faceplate fits either without modification. It is not intended for single gang Viking models or entry phones outside the E-60 platform. Verify your existing entry phone model number before ordering — E-60 single gang variants use a different plate dimension.

Installation Notes

Faceplate dimensions are 123.8mm x 125.4mm x 4.3mm — confirm your rough-in box and surround accommodate this footprint before ordering. Mounting uses #6-32 x 1.25" flat head screws with a 5/64" hex drive; a 5/64" hex key is the only tool required for the plate attachment. The 18-gauge 304 stainless construction resists surface corrosion in exterior installations, though the E-60 series enclosure itself carries the IP67 environmental rating — the faceplate replacement does not change the sealed ingress protection of the assembled unit provided all fasteners are properly torqued and the speaker screen and gaskets remain intact.
