DMP 351 Universal Mounting Plate
Overview
The DMP 351 is a mounting skirt designed to simplify panel upgrades in existing installations. It solves a specific problem: upgrading an older DMP 1812 series control panel or Radionics enclosure without removing the existing wall-mounted enclosure or conduit work. The 351 lets you mount a new DMP XR Series Command Processor panel directly over the old footprint — a time and cost saving move on retrofit jobs where opening walls and re-running conduit is not an option.
Compatibility
The DMP 351 is engineered for two primary use cases. First: DMP 1812 series enclosures — the mounting plate bridges the form-factor gap between legacy and current XR-series hardware. Second: all Bosch/Radionics enclosures — the universal design allows you to upgrade any Radionics panel to an XR Series Command Processor without structural modification. Before ordering, verify that your existing enclosure mounting footprint and conduit access align with the 351's geometry; contact DMP technical support or consult the installation diagram if uncertain about your specific enclosure model.
Installation Notes
The 351 is a passive mounting adapter — no power, wiring, or communication passes through it. Installation involves fastening the skirt to the existing enclosure frame, then mounting the new panel to the 351. This approach preserves all existing conduit connections and allows the new panel to sit flush with the wall. Typical installation takes under 30 minutes on a standard retrofit. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and the new panel's weight is within the enclosure's structural limits before final fastening.
