Description

Panduit UTP28SP6INBU-48 Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP6INBU-48 is a 6-inch, 28 AWG, Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Category 6 patch cord. Its compact diameter and stranded conductor construction simplify installation and management in high-density environments, particularly for moves, adds, and changes. The integrated tangle-free latch ensures secure connection and easy release without snagging, streamlining network maintenance. This cord supports high-speed data applications and is rated for Power over Ethernet (PoE) up to PoE++ (802.3bt) standards, making it suitable for powering network devices.

Compatibility

This patch cord is designed to meet or exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E specifications, ensuring compatibility with Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and Fast Ethernet (100BASE-T) networks. It supports various ATM data rates up to 1.2 Gb/s, digital video, and VoIP systems. The cable construction is suitable for standard network infrastructure deployments.

Installation Notes

The 28 AWG conductor gauge and compact 0.150-inch (3.8mm) diameter facilitate easier routing in crowded patch panels and cable management systems. The CM/LSZH (Communications Multipurpose/Low Smoke Zero Halogen) flammability rating makes it suitable for use in plenum spaces or where fire safety regulations require low-smoke and zero-halogen materials. It supports IEEE 802.3bt for PoE applications, with a maximum of 24 cables bundled for Type 3 and Type 4 PoE delivery.
