Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP8INBL-48 is a bulk pack of 48 short, 8-inch Cat 6 UTP patch cords designed for high-density network environments. Its compact 28 AWG stranded copper construction and tangle-free latch simplify installation and management in data centers, network closets, or anywhere space is constrained, while the CM/LSZH jacket meets flammability requirements. The integral pair manager and RapidID barcodes streamline port mapping and troubleshooting.

Compatibility

This Cat 6 patch cord supports 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) and 100BASE-T (Fast Ethernet) applications. It is backward compatible with older Ethernet standards and also supports ATM and digital video transmission. The cord is rated for IEEE 802.3af/at (up to 48 cables in a bundle) and 802.3bt Type 3/4 (up to 24 cables in a bundle) Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, making it suitable for powering network devices like cameras or access points.

Installation Notes

Constructed with 28 AWG stranded copper, these cords are flexible but not intended for static, in-wall runs requiring 23 or 24 AWG. The patented tangle-free latch ensures a secure connection and easy release without snagging, simplifying moves, adds, and changes. RapidID barcodes are pre-installed for use with compatible Panduit RapidID software for efficient network documentation and management.
