Overview

The Panduit UTP28X8IN-48 is an 8-inch Cat 6A UTP patch cord designed for high-density network environments. Its compact 28 AWG solid conductor construction, combined with a CM/LSZH jacket, simplifies cable management in data centers and enterprise networks, particularly for server virtualization and backbone aggregation. The tangle-free latch design streamlines moves, adds, and changes, while pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate efficient port mapping.

Compatibility

This patch cord supports 10GBASE-T Ethernet and meets ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA requirements up to 500 MHz. It is also compatible with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt (type 3 and type 4) Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, supporting up to 48 cables in a bundle for 802.3af/at and up to 24 cables for 802.3bt.

Installation Notes

The cable features a 0.185-inch (4.7mm) diameter, facilitating easier routing in high-density racks. The integrated tangle-free latch ensures secure connection and simple release, reducing the risk of damage during installation or reconfiguration. Its CM/LSZH rating is suitable for use in plenum or riser spaces where low smoke and zero halogen requirements are mandated.
