Overview

The CWGE10FX2TX8MS is a 10-port managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch combining eight 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ-45 ports and two 100/1000Base-FX SFP fiber ports. This configuration solves a common surveillance and industrial network problem: you need copper connectivity for nearby IP cameras or edge devices, but also need fiber links to span longer distances or isolate electrical noise—and you want management features (VLANs, ACL, RSTP) without the complexity of a full Layer 3 device. The internal 100–240 VAC power supply and compact form factor (10.55 × 5.04 × 1.73 inches) fit standard 19-inch rack environments or wall-mount scenarios where power redundancy is handled upstream.

Compatibility

This switch integrates with any IP surveillance system using standard RJ-45 or fiber SFP connectivity—Axis, Hikvision, Uniview, Bosch, Hanwha, and generic ONVIF cameras all connect via copper or SFP modules (sold separately). The managed features (802.1Q VLAN, 802.1p QoS priority tagging, SNMP monitoring, SSH access) support enterprise VMS deployments including network video recorders and centralized management platforms. Fiber ports accept any ComNet or third-party SFP transceiver (LC, ST, SC connectors available separately) rated for 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet.
