Camden CM-1005 Surface Mount Key Switch SPST Momentary
Overview
The CM-1005 is a surface-mounted key switch rated 30VDC, designed to handle momentary door unlock and auxiliary control functions in access control installations. Built from 1/4" thick aluminum with one-piece die-cast construction, it accepts standard 1", 1 1/8", or 1 1/4" mortise cylinders and mounts directly to walls, pipes, or pedestals. This SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) configuration delivers reliable actuation for electromagnetic strikes, electric locks, and motor controls in commercial and institutional security systems where momentary switching is required.
Compatibility
The CM-1005 integrates with 30VDC access control circuits, HID-based systems, and standard electromagnetic strike hardware. It works in retrofit scenarios where surface mounting is essential and fits environments requiring momentary activation of door locks or auxiliary equipment. The switch accepts standard mortise cylinders without special adapters, making it compatible with existing keyed entry infrastructure in schools, warehouses, commercial buildings, and institutional facilities.
Installation Notes
Mount to walls, pipes, or pedestals using the heavy-duty aluminum faceplate. The die-cast locators prevent cylinder spinning; no set screws are required. A rubber gasket seals the surface-mount box against weather in indoor or outdoor applications. Tamper-proof screws and driver are included. Wiring uses color-coded 18 AWG soldered leads with heat-shrink protective sleeves. Left and/or right operation is available. The brushed aluminum finish resists vandalism, and the centered rib protects switches from mechanical damage.
