Description

Camden CM-25 Narrow Push Plate Switch Vertical Mounting

Overview

The Camden CM-25 is a narrow push plate switch designed for vertical mounting in access control applications. Rated for 30VDC operation at 3 amps, it delivers a low-actuation-force, ADA-compliant mechanism suitable for high-traffic door control in hospitals, seniors' residences, commercial lobbies, and wheelchair-accessible entryways. The stainless steel construction and compact form factor make it a robust choice when space constraints or design aesthetics favor a narrow profile over standard wide switches.

Compatibility

The CM-25 integrates with access control systems that supply 30VDC switched output and require SPST N.O. (single-pole, normally open) relay closure. It mounts directly into a double gang electrical box, making it compatible with most institutional access control architectures that use electric strikes, electromagnetic locks, or automatic door controllers. Verify your system's voltage supply and available gang box configuration before installation. The switch may be used for request-to-exit, door strike activation, alarm shunting, or timed lock functions depending on your control panel programming.

Installation Notes

Mounts in a standard double gang box with flush or surface mounting options. The all-active stainless steel design requires minimal actuation force and complies with ADA accessibility standards. UL/CSA approval as SPST N.O., rated 3 amps @ 30VDC. Confirm 30VDC availability at the installation location and ensure proper wiring to the control panel's strike or lock output terminal. Environmental durability supports both indoor and outdoor use.
