This bracket mounts to the frame header and door edge, positioning magnetic locks in tandem so both doors lock and unlock synchronously — essential in secure access control deployments like server rooms, medical records areas, and data centers where dual-door egress must be controlled as a single unit.
Compatibility
This bracket is designed for Camden's CX-91 series magnetic locks (600 lb and 1,200 lb models), which operate on field-selectable 12/24 VDC and include built-in MOV surge protection. The CX-MA1213D supports synchronized operation across both door leaves in standard aluminum-framed double door assemblies. Verify door width, frame depth, and header clearance before ordering — bracket geometry is optimized for nominal 3-9/16" door widths with standard 1-3/4" frame dimensions. Not compatible with sliding glass doors or frameless glass door systems without additional spacer hardware.
Installation Notes
Mount brackets using the provided metal template to ensure precise alignment — magnetic face-to-armature gap of 1/8" is critical for full 1,200 lb holding force. Both L and Z brackets bolt to the door frame and header using grade 8 fasteners (minimum 3/8"-16 UNC) torqued to 25 ft-lbs. Double-door installations require synchronized 24VDC wiring to both locks — use separate 2-conductor runs per door or a single 4-conductor home-run to a dual-output power supply rated for 250mA @ 24VDC (480mA combined draw at 12VDC).
