Overview
The CX-PS600UL is a 24VDC power supply rated for 6 amps continuous output, designed to feed distributed access control loads—magnetic locks, electric strikes, relays, and timers. Eight independently fused outputs (2 amps per channel) mean you can isolate a single circuit failure without dropping the entire installation. The unit automatically switches to battery backup when AC mains drops below 72.5V, ensuring your locks remain energized during a power event. Install it in a standard electrical enclosure and run 24VDC trunk lines to your access points; the fused architecture handles the circuit protection so your control panel doesn't have to.
Compatibility
Use the CX-PS600UL as the power backbone for any 24VDC access control architecture—magnetic locks, electrified strikes, door holders, and relay-based timers. It pairs with standard access control panels (both legacy and IP-networked) that output dry relay signals or 24VDC control logic. The unit is rated for lead-acid battery backup (one or two 12Ah batteries, sold separately) and complies with ULC-S533 (access control certification) and UL294 standards. Suitable for small-to-mid multi-door deployments where circuit-level fault isolation and battery backup are non-negotiable—retail storefronts, office suites, warehouse access points.
Installation Notes
Input: 120/240V AC, 50–60 Hz @ 2.5 amps. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 49°C—do not install in unheated or high-temperature environments. The unit measures 13.4" W × 17.6" H × 4.5" D and ships ready for wall or DIN-rail mounting inside an enclosure. Wire AC input through a qualified electrician per NEC/NFPA 70 and local code. The integrated temperature-compensated charger optimizes battery longevity; the unit conducts automatic battery load tests every 48 hours and indicates battery health via status LEDs. Maximum charger output is 1.5 amps and does not count toward the 6-amp continuous supply rating.
