Camden CX-MA1214-38D 3/8" Filler Plate for Double Door Magnetic Lock
Overview
The Camden CX-MA1214-38D is a 3/8" filler plate engineered to bridge gaps between 1200 lb magnetic lock hardware and double door frames. This accessory solves frame geometry mismatches that prevent proper lock engagement—common when frame depth, strike plate thickness, or door edge thickness create spacing that leaves the magnetic lock face away from the armature. The plate ensures the electromagnet pulls squarely against the strike, maintaining full holding force (1200 lbs) and eliminating partial engagement that can compromise security. Designed for 24VDC access control installations.
Compatibility
Compatible with Camden CX-91 series 1200 lb magnetic locks (CX-91S-12 surface mount and CX-91M-12 mortise mount variants) deployed in double door configurations. Works with single gang or multi-gang electric strike assemblies operating at 24VDC. Fits standard commercial aluminum and steel frame depths where the lock body sits recessed or offset from the strike face. Verify your door frame depth and strike pocket configuration before ordering—improper plate thickness creates worse misalignment than no plate.
Installation Notes
Mount the filler plate flush to the door frame surface using the same fastening points as the magnetic lock body. No adhesive—mechanical fastening required. Ensure the plate does not introduce binding or rock when the lock is energized. Check that 24VDC wiring to the lock remains unobstructed after plate installation. Stainless steel or powder-coat finishes match standard door hardware; confirm finish specification with your lock model to avoid corrosion at dissimilar-metal interfaces.
