Camden CX-MA1214-12 1/2" Filler Plate for Magnetic Lock
Overview
The CX-MA1214-12 is a 1/2" filler plate engineered to bridge door frame gaps during installation of Camden's 1200 lb magnetic lock assemblies. It serves a single critical function: ensure the strike face sits flush and properly aligned with the keeper during access control deployment. This is not an optional trim piece — on recessed or thick door frames, a filler plate is mandatory to maintain the electromagnetic holding force and prevent binding or misalignment that degrades lock performance over time.
Compatibility
Designed for Camden CX-91 series 1200 lb magnetic locks (CX-91S-12 surface mount and CX-91M-12 mortise mount variants). Works with both standard 12/24 VDC field-selectable operation modes. Compatible with single-door and multi-door access control systems using Camden magnetic strike hardware. The plate integrates with any TCP/IP or hardwired access control network that commands the parent magnetic lock.
Installation Notes
This is a passive mechanical spacer — no wiring required. Install it as a shim between the strike housing and door frame face before mounting the magnetic lock body. Verify frame depth before selecting filler plate thickness; a 1/2" plate is correct when the gap between frame and lock body equals or exceeds 1/2". Use the same fasteners and mounting template supplied with the parent magnetic lock. Ensure strike alignment remains perpendicular to the keeper after installation; misalignment reduces holding force and increases noise under load.
