Description

Middle Atlantic FEB4 4U Blank Rack Panel — Steel, Flat Black Powder Coat

Overview

The Middle Atlantic FEB4 is a 4-rack-unit steel blank panel designed to close open bays in 19-inch equipment racks. At just 0.08 inches deep, the FEB4 sits flush against adjacent gear without consuming usable depth — a practical detail in shallow rack enclosures where every inch counts. The flat black powder coat finish matches standard Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and most third-party 19-inch frames. Use it to block airflow bypass paths in thermally managed bays, prevent cable ingress into empty spaces, and maintain a clean front-panel appearance on installed racks. A 4 RU panel covers 7 inches of vertical rail space, which makes it useful for filling gaps left by equipment removal or during phased rack builds where future hardware slots need to be reserved without leaving open bays.

Compatibility

Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 rack enclosure with 1.75-inch rack unit spacing — including Middle Atlantic ERK, WRK, BGR, and PD series cabinets, as well as third-party frames from APC, Tripp Lite, Startech, and similar manufacturers that conform to the EIA-310-D standard. Two mounting points secure the panel to standard square-hole, round-hole, or threaded rack rails. Not compatible with open-frame relay racks that use non-standard rail spacing.

Installation Notes

Two mounting points — one at each rail. Standard 10-32 or 12-24 rack screws (not included) are required; verify your rack's thread type before ordering. Panel depth of 0.08 inches means no clearance issues behind the panel. No tools beyond a standard screwdriver are needed.
