Overview

The Middle Atlantic FEB2 is a 2-rack-unit steel blank panel designed to close off unused rack space in 19-inch EIA-standard equipment racks. At 3.5 inches tall and only 0.08 inches deep, the FEB2 sits flush against the rack rail without consuming usable depth — important in shallow wall-mount enclosures where every inch behind the panel matters. The flat black powder coat finish matches standard rack aesthetics and holds up to repeated removal and reinstallation without chipping at the mounting holes. Two mounting points secure the panel at both rail edges, which is sufficient for a panel this size and keeps the fastener count low during rack builds or reconfigurations. Use the FEB2 wherever you need to block airflow gaps, cover decommissioned equipment slots, or present a finished appearance in a security head-end rack, IDF closet, or AV equipment cabinet.

Compatibility

Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 equipment rack or rack enclosure — including Middle Atlantic's own rack cabinets and open-frame racks, as well as third-party 19-inch racks from Chatsworth, Panduit, Belden, Legrand, and equivalent manufacturers. The 2 RU height occupies two standard rack units (3.5 inches), making it a direct fit anywhere a 2U slot needs to be filled. Not compatible with 23-inch telco-format racks or proprietary non-EIA rail spacing.

Installation Notes

Mounts with two fasteners, one per rail. Standard M6 or 10-32 rack screws (depending on your rack's rail type) are used — none are included with the panel, so have your rack hardware kit on hand. The 0.08-inch panel depth means no clearance conflicts with cable runs or equipment behind the rail.
