Overview

The Panduit MP588-L is a Cat 5e modular plug designed for terminating 4-pair, 24-26 AWG, 100-ohm, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. Its robust construction supports up to 2500 mating cycles, and the patented tangle-free latch prevents snags while facilitating easy release. This plug is engineered for simplified termination without a load bar, featuring a guide ramp for straightforward conductor insertion. It meets all applicable ANSI/TIA-968-A requirements and exceeds IEC 60603-7 specifications, making it suitable for high-density network installations.

Compatibility

This modular plug is designed for 24-26 AWG, 100-ohm, unshielded twisted pair cable with a maximum conductor insulation diameter of 0.040 inches (1.02mm). It meets requirements for IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, ensuring compatibility with PoE-enabled network devices.
