Overview

The ATEN CL5808N is a dual-rail, 8-port LCD KVM switch designed for efficient server management in rack environments. Its integrated 19" LED-backlit LCD display and keyboard/touchpad modules consolidate control, allowing you to manage multiple servers from a single console. This model is TAA compliant, making it suitable for government and federal agency deployments where specific sourcing requirements apply. The CL5808N simplifies IT infrastructure by reducing the number of peripherals needed and centralizing access to servers.

Compatibility

This KVM switch supports direct connections to 8 computers. It is compatible with both USB and PS/2 interfaces, offering flexibility for connecting to a wide range of servers and network devices. The CL5808N can also be daisy-chained with up to 256 KVM switches, enabling scalable management for larger data center operations.

Installation Notes

The CL5808N features a dual-rail rackmount design, allowing the LCD and keyboard modules to slide out independently for console access while the rest of the unit remains in the rack. It supports resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 and can also handle 1600 x 1200, ensuring clear visibility of server interfaces. Peripheral sharing allows connected USB devices (like printers or scanners) to be shared across the connected computers.
