Overview

The ATEN CL5708N is a 1U rack-mountable LCD KVM console switch designed for direct, out-of-band access to servers. This single-rail, slideaway unit integrates a 19-inch LED-backlit LCD monitor, a full keyboard, and a touchpad into a compact form factor, ideal for data centers and server rooms where space is at a premium. It allows you to manage up to 8 computers from a single console, streamlining operations and reducing hardware clutter. The CL5708N supports a maximum resolution of 1280x1024, ensuring clear visibility of server interfaces.

Compatibility

This KVM console switch supports PS/2 and USB keyboard/mouse connections, and VGA video input. It is designed to connect to servers and other KVM switches via these standard interfaces. The CL5708N is daisy-chainable, allowing you to expand management capabilities by connecting up to 31 additional compatible ATEN KVM switches. This enables control of up to 256 computers from a single console, making it suitable for environments with a significant number of servers.

Installation Notes

The CL5708N is designed for standard 19-inch rack mounting and occupies 1U of vertical space. Its single-rail design allows it to slide away when not in use, preserving rack space.
