Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP7PK is a 7-foot, 28 AWG Cat 6 UTP patch cord designed for high-density network installations. Its compact diameter simplifies cable management, while the patented tangle-free latch prevents snags during moves, adds, or changes. This cord is ideal for deployments requiring reliable data transmission for Gigabit Ethernet, VoIP, and digital video applications. The integrated barcode for RapidID software streamlines port mapping and asset management.

Compatibility

This patch cord supports applications including 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) and 100BASE-T (Fast Ethernet). It is also compatible with 155 Mb/s and 622 Mb/s ATM, 1.2 Gb/s ATM, digital video, broadband/baseband analog video, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems. It meets ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E electrical performance requirements up to 250 MHz.

Installation Notes

Constructed with a stranded 28 AWG conductor, this CM/LSZH rated cable is suitable for use in pathways requiring limited smoke and flame retardancy. It supports IEEE 802.3af/802.3at PoE applications with up to 48 cables in a bundle, and IEEE 802.3bt types 3 and 4 PoE applications with up to 24 cables in a bundle. The centered de-embedded plug ensures proper termination and performance.
