Overview

The Panduit UTP28X6INRD is a 6-inch, 28 AWG Cat 6A UTP patch cord designed for high-density data center environments. Its compact diameter simplifies cable management and airflow, while the CM/LSZH rating ensures compliance with stringent flammability standards. This cord supports 10GBASE-T Ethernet and is rated for PoE++ (802.3bt), making it suitable for powering network devices.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards up to 500 MHz. It is compatible with T568A and T568B wiring schemes and supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt Type 3 and Type 4 Power over Ethernet applications. It is suitable for data center I/O consolidation, server virtualization, backbone aggregation, and high-speed computing deployments.

Installation Notes

The cable features a patented tangle-free latch that prevents snags and ensures a fast, secure release, streamlining moves, adds, and changes. Integrated RapidID barcodes are pre-installed on the cable for simplified port mapping with RapidID software. The 28 AWG construction offers a smaller diameter (0.185 inches / 4.7mm) compared to standard Cat 6A cables, aiding in high-density rack installations.
