Overview
The Panduit STP28X5MBL is a 5-meter, 28 AWG shielded patch cord designed for high-density data center environments. Its compact diameter and tangle-free latch simplify installation and management in racks, streamlining moves, adds, and changes. This cable supports 10GBASE-T Ethernet and is suitable for applications like data center I/O consolidation and server virtualization.
Compatibility
This Panduit Cat 6A patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards up to 500 MHz. It is wired for compatibility with both T568A and T568B schemes. It also supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt type 3 and type 4 Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, ensuring it can power and connect PoE-enabled devices without issue.
Installation Notes
Constructed with a 0.185-inch (4.7mm) diameter cable, this patch cord offers a smaller footprint than standard Cat 6A cables, aiding airflow and cable management in dense deployments. The integrated tangle-free latch prevents snagging during installation and removal, facilitating easier port mapping and system changes. Pre-installed barcodes enable simple port mapping with RapidID software.
