i-PRO AGMDC10G Full HD 3-MOS Medical-Grade Camera (1/4 inch)
The i-PRO AGMDC10G is a medical-grade Full HD camera built on a 1/4-inch 3-MOS sensor architecture. The three-sensor design delivers significantly better color reproduction than equivalent single-sensor cameras — important in surgical, dental, and microscopy applications where subtle tissue color is a clinical signal. Medical-grade construction includes the materials, EMC compliance, and life-cycle support required for clinical and OEM imaging equipment.
Key Features
- Full HD 1080p video output via medical-grade 3-MOS sensor architecture
- 1/4-inch sensor size optimized for endoscopy and microscope adapters
- Three discrete CMOS sensors with prism color separation for accurate tissue color
- Medical-grade EMC and materials for clinical-environment compliance
- Designed for long product life-cycle suited to OEM medical equipment programs
- Color reproduction optimized for tissue, fluorescence, and white-light surgical scenes
- Compact form factor for integration into surgical scopes and ophthalmic instruments
Color fidelity is the discriminator for medical imaging. A single-sensor camera relies on a Bayer filter and demosaicing — fine for general video but a measurable handicap for surgical color decisions. The 3-MOS prism separates red, green, and blue light to dedicated sensors, eliminating demosaic artifacts and yielding cleaner color in low-contrast tissue scenes. That same architecture also helps in microscopy where saturated stains and narrow-band fluorescence challenge single-sensor cameras.
For OEM integration, plan the optical interface around the camera's published mount and back-focus distance. Light handling on a medical scope is a balance between aperture and chip size; the 1/4-inch chip is a good match for many endoscope eyepieces. EMC requirements (IEC 60601-1-2) apply to the final integrated system, not the camera in isolation, so plan for EMC re-test if the camera is being added to an existing scope or cart.
