Overview

The Middle Atlantic WSB2 is a 2U flanged rack panel designed to fill unused rack space in standard 19-inch EIA enclosures. At 3.5 inches tall and only 0.52 inches deep, the WSB2 blocks off open bays that would otherwise allow hot air to bypass equipment and recirculate — a real factor in equipment longevity when you're running dense security equipment like NVRs, PoE switches, or video encoders in a rack enclosure. The black wrinkle powder coat finish blends with standard Middle Atlantic rack and enclosure equipment. This is not a decorative cover — it's a thermal management component with a specific panel width of 19 in (48.3 cm) and two front mounting points for flush, secure installation.

Compatibility

The WSB2 fits any standard 19-inch EIA rail rack — including Middle Atlantic's own rack enclosure families (ERK, WRK, BGR, SLIM5, DWR series) as well as third-party 19-inch EIA-310-compliant racks and open-frame rack systems used in AV, IT, and physical security installations. Confirmed fit with standard 10-32 and 12-24 rack rail threading at 2RU spacing. Not intended for 23-inch or ETSI-format racks. Check your enclosure's rail threading before ordering if mixing with non-Middle Atlantic hardware — the flanged style accounts for standard rail protrusion, but rail hole patterns must match.
