Overview

The Middle Atlantic WSB1 is a 1U flanged blank panel designed to close off unused rack space in 19-inch equipment racks. Whether you're finishing an AV rack, a network enclosure, or a NVR installation rack, open rack units invite dust ingestion, disrupt front-to-back airflow, and leave cabling exposed. The WSB1 addresses that with a single, flush-mounted steel panel. At just 0.52 inches deep, it installs flat without encroaching on equipment behind it. The black wrinkle powder coat finish matches standard Middle Atlantic rack systems and blends into most commercial equipment enclosures. Mounts via 2 points to standard 19-inch rack panels and EIA-standard rails.

Compatibility

Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 equipment rack with a 1U (1.75-inch) open bay. Compatible with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures including the RK, ERK, BGR, and WRK series, as well as any third-party 19-inch rack adhering to EIA rail spacing. Works alongside rackmounted NVRs, PoE switches, patch panels, and UPS units wherever a spare 1U slot needs to be closed. Not specific to any camera or VMS platform — use wherever a rack accessory slot filler is needed.

Installation Notes

Two mounting points align to standard EIA-310 rack rail holes. No tools beyond a standard screwdriver are required. The flanged style means the panel lip registers against the rack rail face for a flush, rattle-free fit — preferable to unflanged blanks in vibration-prone environments such as equipment rooms with HVAC or generator loads nearby.
