Overview

The Middle Atlantic FWD-SB1 is a 1U (1.75 in) flanged blank panel designed to fill unused rack spaces in 19-inch equipment enclosures. The 'Forward' designation indicates a flanged front face — the panel mounts flush against the rack rails and presents a finished, closed face rather than leaving an open gap. That matters in working installations: open rack slots disrupt front-to-back airflow paths, expose internal cabling to accidental contact, and leave gaps in cable management aesthetics.
