Overview

The PDT-2X1020 is a low-profile, hardwired vertical rack power strip from the Middle Atlantic PDT Select Series — engineered for AV, security, and IT rack builds where clean power distribution and space efficiency matter. It delivers 20 NEMA outlets across dual 20A circuits in a 2.58" × 73.25" × 2.1" aluminum chassis, keeping your power infrastructure tight against the rail without consuming horizontal rack space. The dual-feed design means you can wire both circuits independently from separate breakers — critical for any rack where partial-circuit failure needs to stay isolated rather than take down the entire load. The isolated ground connection separates the safety ground path from signal grounds, which directly reduces hum and noise pickup in audio or analog video runs sharing the same rack. Field-configurable single or dual circuit operation lets you adapt to the breaker availability at the job site without swapping hardware.

Compatibility

Designed for standard 2-post and 4-post open-frame racks as well as Middle Atlantic rack enclosures that accept full-travel power mounting — specifically racks dimensioned for vertical PDU deployment along the rail. The 73.25" height suits full-height 42U–45U open racks; confirm interior rail-to-rail clearance accommodates the 2.1" depth before ordering in shallower enclosures. The hardwired bottom-mounted J-Box requires a licensed electrician for termination — this is not a plug-in unit. Compatible with any installation requiring dual 20A branch circuits feeding a single vertical power distribution point, including network and security equipment cabinets in commercial and enterprise environments.

Installation Notes

Termination is at the bottom-mounted J-Box (hardwired) — plan conduit routing to the base of the rack. Dual-circuit configuration requires two independent 20A branch circuits; single-circuit mode uses one. Black anodized aluminum construction; verify rack finish compatibility if aesthetics are a constraint. No plug included by design — factor electrical labor into installation scope.
