The hinged design means you can access the covered equipment without removing the panel entirely, which matters in active equipment rooms where downtime is not an option. At 1.96 in. depth, it adds minimal projection into the rack interior.

Installation Notes

The 1.96 in. depth behind the panel face must be clear — verify no rear connectors or cables protrude into that space before installing. Smoked plexi finish provides visual deterrence and limited light diffusion; it is not a locking enclosure and does not replace a keyed rack door for high-security environments. Pair with a keyed rack door or locking enclosure if physical access control is a compliance requirement.
