The Middle Atlantic SL-1 is a 1U, 19-inch rack-mount security cover fabricated from smoked plexiglass. It occupies a single rack unit and installs in front of rack-mounted equipment to deter unauthorized access and prevent accidental or intentional manipulation of controls, ports, or media bays — without blocking visual status checks through the translucent panel. The SL-1 fits standard 19-inch EIA racks and is the practical answer for shared-space equipment rooms, co-location environments, or any installation where physical access to a specific 1U device needs to be restricted without pulling it offline or locking the entire cabinet.

Compatibility

Designed for standard 19-inch EIA/ECA-310 rack enclosures with a 1U (1.75-inch) opening. Compatible with Middle Atlantic rack systems and any third-party open-frame or enclosed 19-inch rack accepting standard rackmount accessories. At 1.38 inches deep, it fits shallow-profile rack rails without conflicting with front-panel connectors on recessed equipment.
